I have been a Halion user since its release in 2001, so have only used its format over the years. The release phase of the envelope can be adjusted in the вЂzoneвЂ™ tab, along with attack, decay, sustain etc and a slew of other options you will notice such as volume, panning, tuning, filters, the modulation parameters etc.ДЄs for which foreign file format works best? I apologize, but I cannot help you there. You can place this anywhere within your sample and when you release the key being pressed, the playback will instantly jump to this part of the sample and finish playing from there. The blue release node in the sample tab is something entirely different, yet really cool too. The release phase of the envelope is how the sound will shape and play out once you release the key, initiating a note off command. The release node will be in blue, but that isnвЂ™t the same as the release phase of the envelope, so please donвЂ™t confuse the two. You can see its current placement in orange colouring and drag and place where you like, same with the start node. The sample end node can be adjusted in the вЂsampleвЂ™ tab. Correct, it seems the release value, or the sample end node is messed up in placement. I hope current short comings will be rectified in future updates with either revisions to current implementations and even new implementations for features that arenвЂ™t currently available from within the program. It really is worth the time to get it mastered and figured out.

I wouldnвЂ™t trade it for the world and it is the single most used piece of software in my studio next to Cubase 7 itself. Halion 4 isnвЂ™t perfect I know, but it is very, very good in its own right. You may get something out of it after all. I apologize if I am being redundant in telling you things you already know, but I am unaware of your technical level of expertise when it comes to Halion, so figured better safe than sorry and tell you more, instead of less. For all other parameters that may be odd, such as volume, panning, filters etc, these can be fixed in the вЂzoneвЂ™ tab. This is where you set the start and end points, set up loops, adjust the release node etc. You can however adjust these вЂmisplacedвЂ™ parameters to your liking through taking the time to manually edit through the вЂsampleвЂ™ tab. I have not found a way to correct this during the import, it seems to be all or nothing with how Halion is reading the data from within the template. Sometimes I import stuff spot on, then others just exhibit odd parameter settings like you are noticing. Sometimes importing other formats does have this effect, I have noticed it too and it really is random. What error if any? What is the failure mode. I'm sure some will be able to chime in and help It would be advisable to include specific info as to what you are trying to do and what your failure mode is. there are several threads about Soundfonts and players. sfz is a compressed format and not all players can play them (decompress). then that could be problematic because you will need to use another program to run it (such as BitBridge) in CbB.Дo note that the soundfont file can be *.sf2 or *.sfz.

If the app (SFZ Player) is 32 bit, you may have to update the player (or to a player) that is 64 bit. So as long as the player matches your installation (64 bit), the file should load.

it is just a file to load into the player (which could be a 32 or 64 bit application). I believe the soundfont file does not come in a 32 or 64 bit version. I'm assuming that you are referring to the player as being 32 vs 64 bit. Hi - would it be fair to say that a 32bit SF2 (soundfont) file could not possibly play through SFZ in CbB? I have tried without any success.
